Hello There,
I have a VMware Workstation Installed on a base Windows 2012 R2 (64 Bit) Virtual Machine. This base machine is hosted on VMware ESX platform.
I am unable to Create a 64 Bit Windows 7 or ESXi 5.1 machine in the VMware Workstation.
It shows an error :
This virtual machine is configured for 64-bit guest operating systems. However, 64-bit operation is not possible.
This host does not support Intel VT-x.
I have run the tool " Processor Check for 64-Bit Compatibility - Windows" on the virtual machine It fails. Not sure why .
I have tried using option "Use hardware support for both CPU and MMU virtualization (VT/AMD-V and EPT/RVI)" in the base VM properties. But it did not help.
I went into the BIOS option for the virtual machine. But there is no option to enable VT.
Tried using the command "vhv.enable=true" in the virtual machine I am trying to create.
But this did not help either.
Requesting your help here. I want to be able to create VMs inside the VMware Workstation.
Thank You.
Regards,
Hiranmoy Das.
